IoD asks is the Stock Market a casino

11 March 10
The Institute of Directors’ (IoD) West Yorkshire branch will be exploring how much of a gamble the Stock Market is at a special networking event in Leeds on Thursday 18 March.

The business masterclass, which is aimed at companies and individuals from across the region who are looking to add to their knowledge of the Stock Market, is taking place at the Alea Casino at Clarence Dock from 7pm to 9pm. It forms the first of a three-part series of events hosted for the IoD by leading stockbroker, David Scott of Redmayne Bentley.

Established in 1875, Redmayne-Bentley is one of the UK's largest independent private client stockbrokers with over 30 branches nationwide. During the event David will demystify the jargon associated with the Stock Market and discuss the current state of the markets, the issues that are likely to affect them in the coming months and the risks involved and as well as explaining how to approach them.

Nigel Sikora, Chairman of the IoD’s West Yorkshire branch comments: “The evening will hopefully offer attendees an enjoyable and relaxed networking opportunity whilst also providing them with some invaluable advice regarding the Stock Market.

“We’ve already received a large amount of interest from members so we would recommend that people book their place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”

For more information or to book your place please visit www.iod.com/yorkshire/events or call 0113 243 0152. Tickets cost £15.00 for IoD members and £20.00 for non members. Places are limited so tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
