Property Sector to put on show of confidence in the future development of the city region
Leeds’ leading commercial real estate agents have come together to provide a showcase for the outstanding opportunities available within the Leeds city region.
The Exhibition and Conference, named Unfold, is the first of its type in the region and is being created by Financial Leeds with the full support of Leeds’ leading property agents. The exhibition will provide a platform for developments being undertaken or planned at various locations across the city region.
The event will take place on 31st March at Leeds Town Hall. Targeting a national audience, Unfold is aimed at key decision makers who will be invited to see for themselves, the strength and value of the opportunities for both investment and relocation. Event partners include, Jones Lang LaSalle, King Sturge, Drivers Jonas Deloitte, Sanderson Weatherall, Colliers International, BNP Paribas Real Estate, CBRE, DTZ, GVA Grimley and Lambert Smith Hampton.
Although the concept has only just been rolled out to developers, the interest in exhibiting is extremely strong. High Cross, Leeds Valley Park and MEPC along with the Leeds Arena and others are already committed to exhibiting.
Howard Kew, Chief Executive of Financial Leeds commented, “The team here at Financial Leeds has been engaged with the Property sector for a number of months, identifying the right time, place and manner in which to deliver the key sector messages regarding the outstanding progress in the city region. Leeds has made major progress over the last 3 months with tower cranes on the Land Securities Trinity site, positive news on Hammersons’ Eastgate project and exciting design images for the Leeds Arena. This, together with the re-launch of No1 Leeds, highlights the confidence at the heart of the largest functional economy in the North. There are similar messages from across the city region and bringing these key people to Leeds is the ideal way to showcase the strong proposition this region has to offer.”
Colin Fell, Partner in Charge of the Leeds Office of King Sturge LLP, comments "In the current depressed property market and in conjunction with the assumption that the Public Sector cuts will have a more detrimental affect on the Northern regional markets, it is imperative to remind people of the strength and breadth of the Leeds and Yorkshire markets. Unfold provides a huge opportunity to remind everyone that here in Yorkshire we are not only alive and kicking but also open for business!"
Further information concerning the event will be available as the plans unfold which will include a delegate website containing the full day’s detail and online registration.
