Recent days have had something of a legal theme throughout – all positive, starting with a meeting with Thalej Vasishta of Paragon Law – one of the newest arrivals in town and a reminder of how Leeds is seen as such a centre for legal excellence. Amongst other things, Paragon provide specialist services to other law firms and rightly see Leeds as the place to be – a very warm welcome to them.
Then a meeting with Leeds Legal – the ‘premium’ marketing brand for all the firms in Leeds, with a particular focus on international promotion where they have had some significant successes. As we share a common agenda , we are looking forward to working closely with them over the coming year.
Finally, DLA Piper’s Nigel McLean, speaking to The Business Desk about the latest business confidence survey, reminds us about their origins in Leeds before becoming a major force in legal services globally. All of these stories contribute to the confidence we can have that Leeds is the leading centre for Law outside of London and we will make sure this is a key part of our message as we help promote the capabilities of the city.
